Don’t Be Scared of AI
At the end of an AI training I was teaching, I told the room, “Don’t be scared of AI.” What I meant was simple: you can use AI to help you learn AI. But that wasn’t the whole thought.
Writing about technology, neurodivergence, building, and what I’m learning along the way.
I’m interested in how technology can help people, what good support can look like, and what happens when we build with real life in mind.

At the end of an AI training I was teaching, I told the room, “Don’t be scared of AI.” What I meant was simple: you can use AI to help you learn AI. But that wasn’t the whole thought.
What I write about
AI, privacy, trust, power, and what new technology means for regular people.
I’m less interested in hype than I am in how these tools affect our work, choices, and everyday lives.
Autism, ADHD, capacity, communication, support, work, and the systems people have to move through every day.
I’m especially interested in what changes when support fits the person instead of asking the person to keep adjusting.
What I learn while building products, running a company, testing ideas, getting things wrong, and changing my mind.
Some lessons come from things working.
A lot of them come from things not working.
Money. Identity. Family. Freedom. Starting over. Things I’m learning later than I wish I had.
And questions I’m still figuring out.
What I’m building
Atara Systems is where I build technology around real human needs.
Visit Atara SystemsSpectrumThrive is capacity-aware AI support for neurodivergent adults navigating work and everyday life.
The idea is simple: support should be able to adjust when a person’s capacity changes.
Explore SpectrumThriveBlack Autistic & Proud is a free resource project I created for Black autistic adults.
It grew out of my own late diagnosis, my family’s experience with neurodivergence, and the need for support that felt easier to reach.
